AGARTAL  I  Vase

Imagine for a moment the skyline of a bustling metropolis, the fascinating composition of the buildings, the flora, and the interplay of light and shadow. Designer Avital Kerner Rothenberg saw all this in her mind’s eye when she created the AGARTAL series.

Made from recycled Corian, the three unique vases were created as an abstraction of an urban landscape that combines buildings and trees. The tall vase symbolizes a multistory building, the square one an art center, and the short rectangular vase symbolizes a big hangar. The distance between the vases and their varying heights create a series that is both static and dynamic. The eye wanders in the spaces between the vases, each of which resonates with a different kind of plant and is suited to a particular type of flower:

The tall vase resonates with tall, slender trees, such as cypress, eucalyptus, and palm, and is suited to long-stemmed flowers like tulips, bird of paradise, and various ornamental branches; the square vase resonates with fruit trees and ornamental trees, such as plum, kumquat, fig, almond, and Judas tree, and is suited to flowers like roses, ranunculus flowers, and short-stemmed tulips; the rectangular vase resonates with shrubs, lawns, and green fields, such as grasses, Chinese silver grass, bay laurel, and rosebushes, and is suited to a low flower arrangement, dichondra, sand, succulent plants, fruit, and so forth.

Combined with the right flowers, the AGARTAL series imbues your home with beauty and charm, and evokes a calm, romantic, relaxed atmosphere.
